Supported Living
Supported Living
Service that enables individuals to receive care and support while living independently in their own home or rented accommodation. The care and housing components are separate: housing is typically provided by a local council or housing association and is funded through benefits or wages, while care is provided by Desla Care Agency, and may be funded by the local council.
People receiving supported living services can live independently or in shared accommodation. In shared houses, tenants usually contribute to paying bills
and maintaining the property. These accommodations are specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals who require support.
Each person typically holds their own tenancy agreement, which outlines their rights and responsibilities within the living arrangement. The level of support provided is tailored to the individual’s specific needs, which can range from a few hours of assistance per day to full-time care, including overnight support if necessary. This flexibility ensures that each individual receives the appropriate amount of care they require for a fulfilling and independent life.
